CNC ROUTING
What’s a CNC router good for, anyway? In general, cutting stuff. More specifically:
- Cutting cabinet or furniture parts
- Butcher block and solid surface counter top joinery, shaping, and sink cutouts
- Carving wood signs
- Routing custom inlay designs into materials (for bar tops, table tops, custom room dividers)
- Creating complicated curved or twisting shapes—like sculptural architectural elements, curved walls, or art pieces
- Cutting non-ferrous metal (aluminum, copper, etc.)—used as stand-alone parts or inlaid into other pieces
- Fabricating precise jigs to use on other shop equipment
We cut materials including wood, plastics, foam, and non-ferrous metals. 2D and 2D+ cutting and sculpting available.
We work most easily from AutoCAD or vector files (.eps, .ai, etc.). Hand-drawn or hand-drafted sketch? No problem! We’ll include an hourly translation-to-file/design fee in our quote for your project.
We can also work from:
- PDFs
- 2D or 3D CAD software, including SketchUp, VectorWorks, Rhino, Revit, Inventor, SolidWorks
- Image files
